Special Celebration – 40th Anniversary of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

Announcing  a special celebration marking the 40th Anniversary of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Virginia. This event will commemorate the introduction of mediation services in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and recognize the pioneers who planned and launched these programs.

We will honor the Judges and Clerks who continue to support mediation by referring parents and families, helping them resolve conflicts and make important decisions together.

Over the years, mediation has expanded into General District Courts, providing even more individuals with the opportunity to manage their own outcomes. Mediation empowers people to maintain control over their lives, finances, and futures while resolving disputes peacefully.
